The menu

Choose the drinks you intend to serve, rather than adding options for the sake of it.

The bar space

Allow room for ingredients, milk arrangements, cups and access to service the equipment.

The shift handover

Decide who cleans, refills and checks supplies before the next team starts.

The details that matter

Paid drinks still need realistic numbers.

Model likely sales, ingredient cost, equipment, care and any payment charges. A selling price does not by itself show whether the coffee offer covers its cost.

Pub and bar drinks: the full guide

Pub & Bar Beverage Solutions

A coffee offer should fit around the way your pub or bar already works. Café Perfection helps you plan coffee, hot drinks and water for post-meal orders, daytime visitors and busy service periods, without treating every venue as a staffed coffee shop.

Decide when and why customers will order

Separate after-dinner coffees, daytime trade and event demand. A short, consistently delivered menu may be a better starting point than a long list of drinks that slows the team down. Include the cup sizes and milk choices you genuinely intend to offer.

Choose the right level of staff involvement

Compare automatic coffee equipment with staffed espresso and filter options against the skills, counter space and time available. Touchscreen selection does not remove the need for training, replenishment and cleaning. Check the specific milk system and its storage requirements before choosing a configuration.

Consider the busiest orders, not the average day

Describe the largest likely group of drink orders and what else your staff will be serving at that time. Manufacturer daily recommendations are not a guarantee of peak-hour output. Equipment suitability depends on the chosen menu and the way service is organised.

Make water dispensing practical

Choose the water types required and check glass or jug clearance, available plumbing and any drainage needs. Chilled, ambient, hot and sparkling functions vary by model. An under-counter chiller needs a compatible dispensing arrangement and ventilation; a tap on its own is not a complete chilled-water system.

Check the numbers before extending the menu

Compare expected orders with recipe costs, milk, consumables, wastage, cleaning, equipment costs and payment charges. Extra sales are not automatically extra profit. Model quieter periods as well as busy services and agree purchase or available rental terms against your own budget.

Keep the ongoing work clear

Identify who carries out routine care, where cleaning instructions are kept and how faults are reported. Café Perfection can discuss ingredients, installation and maintenance alongside equipment supply. The quotation should state what is included and what is charged separately.

Send your postcode, intended menu, current equipment, busiest serving period and a photograph of the proposed position. These details make the first discussion more useful than choosing a machine from a picture alone.
