Restaurant drinks: the full guide

Restaurant Beverage Solutions

Make coffee and water part of a well-planned service, from the first table to the final after-dinner drink. Café Perfection supplies commercial beverage equipment and ingredients, with installation and ongoing support available to discuss as part of your restaurant's quotation.

Match the machine to your service style

Start with who makes the drinks and where the work happens. Bean-to-cup equipment, staffed espresso systems and filter brewers support different workflows. Compare the menu, staff involvement, cup sizes and cleaning responsibilities rather than choosing solely by machine size or appearance.

Plan for orders arriving together

Estimate the drinks required during your busiest service, not only across the whole day. A large table ordering milk drinks together can create a different requirement from coffees spread between meals. Ask how the chosen configuration handles that menu and serving pattern; daily output and hourly performance are different measures.

Water service needs its own capacity check

Decide whether you need chilled still, ambient, sparkling or hot water, and how you serve it: glasses, bottles or jugs. Check the selected system's chilled production, dispensing height and installation requirements. A rapid dispensing flow does not mean the unit can chill that same volume continuously. Sparkling equipment and its CO₂ arrangements need to be specified explicitly.

Check the space behind the presentation

Measure the counter and access route. Allow for ingredient replenishment, milk storage where needed, ventilation, waste handling and routine cleaning. Water, power, drainage and filtration requirements depend on the actual equipment; a product photograph is not an installation plan.

Work out the contribution per drink

Use your intended selling price and realistic recipe cost, then account for milk, extras, wastage, cleaning, payment charges, staff time and equipment costs. A higher selling price alone does not establish a profitable coffee offer. The planning calculators can help compare your own assumptions before requesting a proposal.

Agree the handover and support

Discuss operator training, cleaning instructions, compatible supplies, planned maintenance and fault reporting. Your quotation should identify included work and any separate charges, rather than assuming installation or servicing comes with every machine.

Tell us your covers, busiest drinks period, current menu, postcode and available space. We will use the requirement to discuss a suitable configuration and the checks needed before installation.

A useful next step

Send the menu and the service pattern.

Include peak covers, expected coffee drinks and a photo of the proposed preparation area.
